Championships are not won with players like Draisaitl at 2C. He has learned a lot but he's still not there. Toews, Danault, O'Reilly, Couturier, Kadri, Horvat....those are the guys that you need in Draisaitl's slot. Remove him, in exchange for one of those guys PLUS (yeah, plus, he has tremendous value) a first line winger and 1st pairing D.
...but yeah, just keep the status-quo, how's that working out? Probably the same as your 4door sedan...nice and safe.

Draisaitl can play wing like he does half of the time and have RNH a defensive center play the 2C. I can't belive there's people that believe that's better than having all 3 play center.

It’s just the way Woody is playing him. They want him floating at the blue line. Takes less energy so he can be ready to double shift if needed. Price for having the best PP unit I guess.

So we have all seen the proposed deal people are talking about for Karlsson. Sends Pulj, Barrie, a bunch of picks and we get Karlsson at roughly 4 mil and Bjustad

They say Edmonton came back to this because LA was getting Chychurn. Then Sportsnet says that LA talks have broken down.

There is a chance that Holland can do the Karlsson trade and still be able to do the Chychurn deal. They want a first or a player recently from the first. Broberg and Schaefer should fit their needs. Then send them Bouchard and get them to hold half the salary.

His offense is undeniable...one of the top 5 in the entire league. Having McDavid already though makes it easier to remove Draisaitl's sh1t compete level and poor defensive play. If we didn't have McDavid, I wouldn't trade Drai. We DO however have McDavid, so we need a better 200ft 2nd best allstar player.
You proved my point, Drai had all those points....still lost.
(Please keep in mind I also had several heated debates about trimming MSFT, AAPL, AMZN 12months ago and everyone thought I was crazy...not many people think past today. (I might be wrong but planning ahead and building a solid foundation is what wins in the end. All of the flashy short term bs is just that...bs.
Long term habits lead to success...not short term bursts of greatness.
Draisaitl's attitude and work ethic...his habits...is total rubbish at this point. (But he's young)
